Maurizio Pecorado | Milan Fashion Week

His A/W collection for 2013/2014 was a variety of well cut leathers and colorfully retro fur. It was somewhat different from what Ive seen on other runways shows. While most designers this year were busy using up all the Tweed in Europe, Pecorado fascinated us with the creative and delicate use of Leather and Fur.

My favorite piece of his was the neck warmer fur locked with a thin elegant belt, it simply creamed glamor, chic and class.

Maurizio Pecorado’s collection didn’t take a big step away from the 60’s. We still saw a lot of thin belts, Military bags, 60’s waistline, fur coats and platform round pumps but his show felt more modern than a history lesson.

The best part of it was, this collection was completely wearable! Something retailers would surely appreciate! Pecorado kept the feminine Italian cuts and he did it brilliantly, even though we saw many bulky masculine accessories like neckties and several boyfriend-cut jackets.
