“A few years ago, the mustache renaissance reached a climax with men around the world put their ancestors to do with a plush upper lip. Culture Mustache was back, and throughout the Renaissance many artists have paid tribute to its symbolism in human culture.
Mr. Mustache is becoming a mainstream product that pushes consumer habits to the limits. They turn ironic elements into mainstreams products. As a celebration for the mustache, and for all the designers who admire it, i will show you 10 creative examples of iconography mustache, obsessed range of products for lovers’ stache you, whether you are male or female.” Mira Wehbe
I can’t but simply agree with miss Whebe’s words. The Mr. Mustache culture or as I prefer to all it the Mr. Mustache attitude has become so popular the past few years that now, in the month of November, the world celebrates Men’s health and Mr. Mustache became the official representation of this event.
Just like I mentioned last time, I personally became so affected by the trend and I took my cousin’s visit as an opportunity to show you some fashion Items with Mr. Mustache influence.
So trendy this year, Mr. Mustache brings the “casually stylish” in you.
These years we have noticed a rise in the “geek chic” or “sexy nerd” attitude. You don’t have to wear a tight short dress to be sexy and we all know that. The boyfriend look along to the Geek chic has been the latest trend as well. But to pull off any of these looks the keys are simple. Dark bronze metallic leggings merge it with a semi-boyfriend cut shirt with Mr. Mustache icon. now you have a simple, stylish, look that has a dash of geeky-ness into it. The look so far is a bit “teenage-ish”. To make it more girly, feminine and somewhat sexy, start by wearing a nice ring ( I was lucky enough to find a Mr. Mustache one 😀 ) then wear a pair of nice comfy heels that compliment the colors of the shirt or colors of the pants if you are looking to give yourself some visual length.
If a shirt is too hot for you, wear a semi tank-top with a Mr. Mustache illustration. It shouts STYLE!
After long being “popularized”, big name designers have adopted this culture and integrated it into their designs. Starting by TopShop with this Mr. Mustache necklace, which my friend and I found while shopping.
Moving on to MANOLO BLAHNIK and his latest show collection clearly inspired by Mr. Mustache. Geek Chic, Sexy Nerd or trendy modern day woman, whatever your style is you can always pull of a “Mr. Mustache”.
Or the Loafer Mustache here by Zara.
The trend has crossed off the fashion idustry and also invaded product design, like with Peter Bruegger’s mugs.
